Gyan Jyoti : The Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), located in Ranchi, was established through the Jharkhand University of Technology Act, 2011 (Jharkhand Act 18, 2015). The establishment was officially notified through Gazette No. 815 on December 8, 2015.

JUT is situated at the Science and Technology campus in Sirkhatoli, Namkum, Ranchi, with the postal code 834010. As per its mandate, the entire state of Jharkhand falls under the university’s jurisdiction, providing educational opportunities across a wide range of disciplines.

The university’s primary goal is to foster excellence in higher education and research across several fields, including Science, Technology, Engineering, Management, Town Planning, Pharmacy, Applied Arts and Crafts, Applied Sciences, and more. JUT is also committed to expanding its academic offerings in line with the needs of Jharkhand and in consultation with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), as outlined by the central government.
